Life-threatening emergencies should be dealt with by ringing 999
If you require urgent medical assistance or advice which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens dial 111
NHS 111 health advisers will talk to you and pass you on to Local Care Direct if you need to see or talk to a doctor. Details of any consultation are emailed directly to your notes at the surgery the next working morning.
Practice Training Closures
Most GP practices in Huddersfield close for staff training one afternoon each month (see future dates below).
We need to ensure that all of our team members are up to speed with the latest developments, regulations and improvements in patient care. This includes our team of doctors, nurses, health care assistants, practice manager, secretaries and receptionists. To make this training really effective, we need to train the team all together at the same time. We publicise the latest schedule of training dates in the surgery reception, on our door, and on the website to avoid any inconvenience to our patients. Training afternoons when we close from 13:00 to 17:30 are usually on the third Tuesday of the month. Patients can still get medical advice during these times by calling 111.
